A couple of weeks ago a friend sent me the pictures below. I received them with great surprise and excitement. These are pictures of Villa trina in Moca, the town where I was born. Even though I did not grow up over there, I use to visit often. My sister did grow up in Villa trina and I love the place as I love her. As soon as I received those pictures I sent them to her as well and of course she cry when she saw them. Villa trina is a very small and beautiful place with nice and hard working people distinguish by having strong characters. The gray house you see in one of the pictures is located about 3 Kilometers from my grandmother’s house and according to my sister, Haitians lived there. She remembers passing by every day on her way to school or church. The other pictures are of the view of Villa trina, from up there you can see the city of Moca, part of Santiago and la Vega, towns of the Dominican Republic.
